The chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd has inaugurated a seven man caretaker committee to pilot the affairs of the youths of Rumuoro in Ogbakiri, Emohua local government area.
Performing the inauguration in his office on Wednesday, Dr. Lloyd said the appointment of a caretaker committee for Rumuoro youths followed the subsistence of a statewide ban on youth and community development committee (CDC) elections by the government of Rivers State.
He urged the newly inaugurated Rumuoro-Ogbakiri youth caretaker committee to work in synergy with other organs of Rumuoro-Ogbakiri to promote peace and security in the community.
Members of the caretaker committee are:
1. Wokem Ngozi Lawson – Chairman
2. Ojire Nnamta – Vice chairman
3. Eli Igwechi – Secretary
4. Sunny Acheru – Treasurer
5. Emeka Otonnah – Publicity secretary
6. Okpara Austin Egbune – Provost
7. Ozenyeowe Goodluck Enyia – Fin Sec
Dr. Lloyd says the caretaker committee has a renewable tenure of three months and urged members to see their appointment as an opportunity to serve their community and not to destroy it.
